What we believe

THE BIBLE IS GOD’S WORD AND IS OUR AUTHORITY FOR WHAT WE BELIEVE & PRACTISE.

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2 Tim. 3:16-17

THERE IS ONE GOD, ETERNALLY EXISTENT IN THREE PERSONS, FATHER, SON & HOLY SPIRIT.

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:18–20 (N.K.J.V.)

THE WORLD AND MANKIND WAS CREATED BY GOD

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Gen. 1:1
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Gen 1:26–27

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IS BOTH FULLY MAN AND FULLY GOD

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily Col 2:9
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, Heb 1:1-3

THE LORD JESUS WAS BORN OF A VIRGIN AND BECAME A SINLESS MAN
Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. …And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” Matt. 1:18, 20
“Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Matt. 1:22–23
THE LORD JESUS DIED FOR THE SIN OF THE WORLD AND ROSE AGAIN
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Rom 5:8
For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures,: 1 Cor. 15:3–4

MANKIND IS RUINED BY SIN AND NEEDS SALVATION IN CHRIST.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; Rom. 3:23

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, 1 Tim. 2:3–6

ETERNAL LIFE IS A GIFT FROM GOD AND IS RECEIVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH

God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), … For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Eph 2:4-5, 8–9

THE LORD JESUS WILL COME AGAIN
I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. John 14:2-3

THE CHURCH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST & HE IS THE HEAD
He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
Eph 4:11-13

THE CHURCH EXISTS TO WORSHIP, PRAY AND SERVE CHRIST.

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Acts 2:41-42

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. Luke 22:19-20 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. 1 Cor. 11:23-26
I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting; in like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission. And I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, but to be in silence. 1 Timothy 2:8-12
